CriSamuel Delfin, a proud student of the University of Rizal System Binangonan and a member of the Philippine National Arnis team bagged a gold medal at the 30th Southeast Asian Games held on the 3rd day of December at Angeles University Foundation Gymnasium.
His outstanding first-class performance got him a gold medal at the men’s anyo non-traditional open-weapon exhibition. The 25-year-old Delfin showed his Cordillera roots by wearing traditional Igorot attire while showcasing his refined skills and talents in synch with ethnic instruments.
The invigorating competition ended a close fight with a score of 9.83, he leads against the Vietnamese athlete Duc Tri Do, who scored 9.70.
