The College of Computer Studies celebrates its 9th year with a two-day event as part of the URSB College Week alongside the two other colleges – COB and COA – on March 11-12, 2020.
The college week starts on Monday, March 9 with an Intercollege Basketball and Volleyball Exhibition Game, to be headed by Prof. Yves Xavier Candelaria, COA, COB and CCS Student body and the PE department.
The first day of celebration will be filled with indoor activities including seminars on Arduino and Cisco Packet Tracer, iMac Essentials headed by Prof. Eunice Cabaltera, Basic Photography, headed by Prof. Neil John Albito, and Troubleshooting, headed by Prof. Mark Anthony S. Zamora. There will also be a number of contests to be conducted including a quiz bee headed by Prof. Marthea Andrea Daluyon and Prof. Aristotle Mayorca, a poster making contest headed by Prof. Madi De Jesus, a web design contest headed by Prof. Teresa Casquejo, a programming competition headed by Prof. Jayson Daluyon and Prof. Alking Sunga and a photography contest headed by Prof. Neil John Albito. There will also be e-sports competitions including Mobile Legends, Counter Strike and Dota Tournament.
CCS Day 2 will include the highlights of the celebration with outdoor activities including a production number by the CCS students and professors, a parade of characters, boodle fight. The second day of celebration will also include the highly anticipated “Class Presentations” and the 2nd CCS Got Talent. The second day will conclude with the awarding of winners, to be conferred by the program heads – Prof. Yves Xavier Candelaria and Prof. Richelle E. Go with the college dean, Prof. Owen T. Escuadra.
As the college continues to grow, its long standing tradition of celebrating the “CCS Days” remains.
